Ultima Medical

Ultima Medical is able to perform discretionary Independent Medical Exams (IMEs)  in order to determine the cause, extent and medical treatment of a work-related or non-occupational or injury. IME’s are often conducted at the request of employers or insurance companies in order to obtain an independent opinion of the clinical status of the individual. WCB and independently insured employers have a legal right to this request. Should the doctor performing the IME conclude that a patient’s medical condition is not work-related, the insurer may deny the claim and refuse payment.
